Ras Mubarak, a former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, has voiced concerns over the recent video involving Sammy Gyamfi and self-styled evangelist Nana Agradaa.
Mubarak emphasized that public office holders must prioritize national interests, particularly by demonstrating confidence in the country's economy and currency.
Speaking out on the issue, Mubarak highlighted that it is unacceptable for someone in a government position to be seen giving away foreign currency-especially at a time when the Ghanaian cedi has shown signs of improvement.
He pointed out that while the gift may have been well-intentioned, it undermines the local currency, which is already facing challenges due to various sectors of the economy (including schools and property owners) increasingly charging in US dollars.
