The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asawase Constituency has suspended four of its members for conduct considered to be in breach of the party's code of ethics.
The individuals - Murtala Muhammed, Farida Mohammed, Aminu Issah, and Salisu Sanusi - are branch executives who appeared in a widely circulated video making disparaging remarks about the President, the party's national leadership, and the nominated Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokore Mampong.
In a statement issued by the Constituency Secretary, the party announced that their suspensions take effect immediately.
The matter has also been referred to the party's disciplinary committee for further investigation and possible sanctions.
