Correspondence from the Ashanti Region A cargo truck lost control and plowed into multiple vehicles in Krofrom, Kumasi, on Friday afternoon following a heavy downpour, leaving scores injured.
The accident involved commercial vehicles, popularly known as trotro, private cars, tricycles (pragia), and other road users.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck was descending from the Krofrom traffic light towards Ashtown when the driver lost control near the X5 Pub, sending the vehicle careening into oncoming traffic.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the truck striking multiple vehicles, trapping drivers and passengers.
