The Africa Institute on Governance and Security has condemned what it describes as a dangerous precedent of exposing sensitive national security financial records to the public.

In a statement released on Friday, May 9, 2025 and signed by Governance Specialist and Security Strategist, Dr.

Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, the Institute expressed concern about the Attorney General's decision to litigate sensitive matters involving national security through the media, a move it says has compelled embattled Ex-NSB Boss, Kwabena Adu Boahene, to publicly defend himself with confidential documents.

According to the Institute, this approach undermines Ghana's national security architecture on multiple fronts. "Disclosure of financial records may inadvertently expose covert operatives, informants, or critical infrastructure, jeopardizing their safety and the efficacy of security operations," the statement noted.
