Members of the National School Feeding Caterers Association have appealed to the government to permit them to continue providing meals to students until the end of the current academic term.
This request comes on the back of recent contract terminations affecting regional and zonal coordinators under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
Margaret Larbi, Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Association in an interview on Channel One Newsroom on Thursday, May 8, expressed concerns about the abrupt changes, highlighting that many caterers had already procured substantial quantities of food items in anticipation of the term's continuation.
She emphasised that the lack of prior communication regarding the terminations has left them in a challenging position. "It's not about reapplying but it is about what the women are going through.
