The Inspector General of Police, Dr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to swiftly outline a clear roadmap to resolve the stalemate over the 2024 parliamentary election results in the Ablekuma North constituency.

Dr Yohuno cautioned that the continued delay on the part of Ghana's electoral management body in completing collation of parliamentary election results in the Ablekuma North constituency threatens public confidence in the country's democratic institutions.

Speaking ahead of a planned meeting with the EC, he underscored the urgency of the matter. "The EC must provide the National Election Security Taskforce with a roadmap for the formalisation of the collation.

This is a pivotal moment.
