Former National Signals Bureau boss, Kwabena Adu-Boahene has rejected allegations of misappropriating state funds.
In a letter to the National Security Coordinator, Adu-Boahene provided a breakdown of how the monies in question were spent - including payments to Members of Parliament, an opposition party, and the special aide to the President-elect of the 2024 elections.
In the letter, sighted by Channel One News, Adu-Boahene explained that the funds in question were linked to transactions between two accounts established by National Security to address pressing needs at the time.
Adu-Boahene is accused of diverting GH¢49.1 million from accounts belonging to the Bureau of National Communications to the account of a private company he co-owns with his wife, BNC Communications Bureau.
