Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has declared that no individual will be allowed to undertake national service in Ghana without possessing a Ghana Card, describing the move as a crucial step to eliminate fraud and ensure transparency in the system.
In a statement shared via the official Facebook page of the Authority on Tuesday, May 6, he stressed that the Ghana Card is now a compulsory requirement for all individuals seeking to undertake national service in Ghana. "Now, if you do not have a Ghana Card, there is no way you will do national service, you won't be able to even go close to it at all," he said.
He clarified that biometric validation at NSA offices has become a mandatory process.
Anyone who fails to physically present themselves for this process will be excluded from national service. "If you cannot go physically to our office to be biometric validated, you can not do national service," the Director-General warned.
