Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker, has called for legal action to be taken against Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, following a widely circulated video showing the MP attempting to hit a police officer during a protest at Parliament House.

Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, May 6, Ade Coker insisted that the Member of Parliament for Effutu must be held accountable for his actions and charged with assault. "The policeman should charge him for assault.

If I were the policeman, I would complain and charge him with assault.

He should be charged with assault.
