Presidential appointees under the Mahama administration who failed to comply with the March 31, 2025 deadline for asset declaration will forfeit four months' salary, according to a directive announced by Shamima Muslim, the deputy Presidential Spokesperson In a post shared on her Facebook page on Monday, Ms.

Muslim said that appointees who did not submit their statutory asset declarations by the end of the first quarter will forfeit three months of their salaries.

In addition, all appointees-regardless of compliance-will forfeit one extra month's salary to the newly established Mahama Cares Fund. "This is part of our commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability, and public trust," she stated.

The Mahama Cares Fund, launched earlier this year, is a government-backed initiative aimed at supporting social intervention programmes and emergency needs in critical sectors such as health, education, and public welfare.
