President John Mahama has taken decisive action against public appointees who failed to comply with the constitutional requirement to declare their assets by the March 31st deadline.

In a post shared on Facebook, Minister of State for Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the president has ordered that all defaulters forfeit four months of their salaries and donate the same amount to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund. "President Mahama sanctions appointees who defaulted on Asset declaration by 31st March. They are to forfeit 4 months salary and donate same to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.

All defaulters have up to close of day tomorrow to declare their assets or they stand automatically dismissed," Kwakye Ofosu stated.

The move signals President Mahama's commitment to transparency and accountability as his administration pushes to restore trust in public service.
