This move forms part of a broader effort by President Mahama to enforce strict asset declaration protocols. Earlier in the day, the President issued a stern warning to political appointees who had failed to declare their assets, stating that they risk immediate dismissal if they do not comply by Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Under the new directive, defaulting appointees will forfeit three months' salary and will also be required to contribute one month's salary to the MahamaCares Trust Fund, a newly established initiative to support transparency-related programs.
