The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a 32-year-old Ghanaian student, Kwadwo Boaitey Frimpong, in connection with child pornography charges, as shown in footage released by the Trump administration.
The arrest, carried out by ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Baltimore on April 29, 2025, marks a significant action in the administration's immigration enforcement efforts.
Frimpong, who entered the US in 2019 on an F-1 student visa to pursue academic studies, pleaded guilty to seven counts of possession of child pornography.
The charges stemmed from a Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) probe initiated in April 2024, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about suspected explicit material on Frimpong's Google account.
