Newly-confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Andrews Kojo Doodo, has issued a stern warning to workers at the District Assembly who consistently absent themselves from duty.
He threatened to impose an embargo on the salaries of such employees, stressing that government resources must not be wasted on unproductive personnel. "One cannot receive salaries or waste government resources and sit idle without work being done," he declared.
Speaking to MyNewsGh.com's Hajia Asana Gordon shortly after officially assuming office, Doodo made it clear that his administration would not tolerate absenteeism or laziness.
He said workers who fail to report regularly to duty should either prepare for transfer or voluntarily resign. "I will instruct my Coordinating Director to consult the Human Resource officer to place an embargo on the salaries of any assembly worker who absents themselves, and ensure the funds are returned to the government immediately," he stated.
