The internal wrangling within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken another twist as Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, publicly criticised presidential hopeful Kennedy Agyapong.

Speaking on Wontumi TV monitored by MyNewsGh, Abronye accused the Assin Central MP of wielding his financial might as a tool to silence dissent within the party. "Ken Agyapong believes that because he has pumped money into the NPP, he's above everyone else," Abronye said. "He constantly reminds people of his contributions and ignores views from those who haven't offered much financially." Abronye alleged that Agyapong's posture is not only arrogant but harmful to the unity and morale of the party's grassroots base. "This sense of entitlement is creating division.

We cannot allow one man's money to overshadow the collective effort of loyal party members," he added.

In a sharp move aimed at countering Agyapong's influence, Abronye announced plans to form a new grassroots-focused association.
