The completion of the Pokuase-Nsawam Highway has been delayed by 15 months, Chief Resident Engineer, Kwabena Bempong has confirmed.
Initially scheduled for completion in July 2024, the road project is now expected to be finalized sometime between mid-2025 and late that year.
Bempong attributed the delay to two persistent challenges: delays in compensating residents displaced by the project and complications in relocating utility infrastructure along the construction path.
To date, 40 out of 76 eligible residents have received compensation, leaving a significant portion unresolved.
