Samuel Atta Akyea, legal counsel for former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu-Boahene, has sharply criticised the state's justification for continuing to detain his client, describing the prosecution's conduct as both illogical and self-defeating.
This comes after Mr.
Adu-Boahene was remanded into the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Organisation (EOCO) for seven days by a High Court in Accra following a hearing on Frihday, May 2, 2025.
Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine urged the court to remand the accused, citing intelligence suggesting that Adu-Boahene had attempted to interfere with a key prosecution witness in the ongoing alleged stealing case.
