Dumelo added that many persons did not know that he was working hard in the background to beat his closest contender. "What is important is the one-on-one dialogue with delegates, which I was doing," Dumelo said.

He stressed further that "when you go to the delegates and speak their language, they would understand you and they would vote for you", he stated.
