President John Dramani Mahama has asserted that Ghana's economy is showing signs of recovery and on a steady path under the leadership of the new Bank of Ghana management.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Matilda Asante Asiedu as Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, the President said the current administration inherited a weakened economy from the previous government.
He attributed the ongoing recovery to decisive measures and renewed leadership at the central bank.
President Mahama urged the newly sworn-in deputy governor to stay on course and remain committed to the reforms needed to stabilise the economy. "I am pleased to know that under the leadership of Governor Dr Johnson Asiama and the Bank's Senior management, the recovery process has begun in earnest.
