The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has issued a final warning to all traders operating in the streets and other unauthorized spaces within the Central Business District (CBD) to vacate the enclave by May 5, 2025, or face forced removal.
In a public notice, KMA reminded traders that a prior deadline of May 1, had already been communicated for them to voluntarily remove their goods, tables, metal structures, and other items from the streets. "The Management of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) wishes to inform all traders, particularly those plying their trade in the streets, median and other unauthorized areas within the Central Business District (CBD) of Kumasi, to cease forthwith," the statement read.
The directive also targets individuals who trade from parked vehicles within the CBD, cautioning them to immediately halt the practice.
