The former head of the National Signals Bureau, Kwabena Adu-Boahen, has been remanded into the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) for seven days by a High Court in Accra.

The court's decision on Friday, May 2, 2025, follows a request from the Attorney General, Dr.

Dominic Ayine, who alleged that Adu-Boahen had attempted to interfere with a key prosecution witness in his ongoing criminal trial involving alleged theft and abuse of public office.

Defence lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea challenged the basis of the claim, questioning the credibility of the intelligence and dismissing suggestions that his client had the capacity to influence the proceedings.
