The mother of a first-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who was stabbed during the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) "Thank You" tour, has urged the police to arrest perpetrators behind the heinous crime.
The student, currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, is a member of Unity Hall's Jama group, which was invited to perform at the event.
The victim's mother, visibly distressed, has called on the Ghana Police Service to thoroughly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice. "The police should ensure that the person who did the stabbing is arrested and questioned.
This is purely a political party event, and this should not have happened," Rebecca Sasu, the victim's mother, said.
