More details are emerging from the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) 2025 mid-year conference held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on April 26, 2025, where a resolution for the revocation of the suspension of Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, was passed.

A member of the association, in an interview with ChannelOne TV, disclosed that fewer than 1% of the registered members of the association, who are more than 5,000, took part in the passage of the resolution.

He said that out of the 3,000 active members of the association, only 52 voted on the resolution against the suspension of the Chief Justice at the mid-year conference.

Out of the 52 lawyers who took part in the passage of the resolution, 47 voted in favour, while 5 voted against it.
