The High Court has slapped former Director of the Signals Bureau, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, his wife Angela Adjei Boateng, and two others with a total of 11 criminal charges in a GH¢49 million procurement scandal.
The charges-filed by the Attorney-General's Office-include stealing, conspiracy to steal, causing financial loss to the state, money laundering, and using public office for private gain.
The offenses are alleged to have occurred between February and March 2020.
Adu-Boahene is accused of dishonestly appropriating approximately GH¢49.1 million under the false pretense of procuring a cyber defense system for the Republic of Ghana.
