The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the expansion of its premium registration services to five additional regions, effective May 5, 2025.

This move aims to provide expedited registration services for Ghanaians seeking premium services.

As part of the expansion, the premium registration centre at the NIA Head Office at Shiashie will be relocated to the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), at Legon City Campus-GA-076-0326.

In a press release dated April 29, 2025, the NIA said that applicants seeking premium services, including first-time registration, card replacement, and personal information updates, will be required to book appointments via the NIA's online portal, register.nia.gov.gh. "The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Legon City Campus and the CalBank premium centres will from May 5, 2025, serve applicants only on appointment basis.
