Four individuals arrested in connection with a cocaine seizure at the Swiss port at Kotoka International Airport have been remanded into custody.
The suspects, Gariba Soli, an artefact dealer based at the Art Centre, and Josiah Baidoo, Emmanuel Mintah, and Kwabena Ampofo Anti, all freight forwarders, were apprehended for allegedly attempting to export 73 slabs of cocaine without the necessary authorisation.
They have been charged with attempting to export a narcotic substance without a license, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of a narcotic substance without a license.
According to details presented in court, officers from the Narcotic Control Commission, during a routine inspection at the Swiss port, discovered three wooden boxes labelled as containing artefacts.
