The Management of Metro Mass Transit Limited has announced plans to introduce electric buses into its fleet as part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve public transport services across the country.

According to the company, the initiative aligns with President John Dramani Mahama's broader green energy agenda and forms part of a wider revamp of the state-run transport service.

Speaking to the media, Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit, Kale Cesar, on Tuesday, April 29, revealed that the company is taking bold steps to modernize its operations over the next six months. "We also have an ambitious plan to bring in more buses that are environmentally friendly, in line with the president's promise of green energy.

For that matter, we will ensure that we bring some electric buses," he said.
