Member of the NDC Legal Team, Victor Kojogah Adawudu, has criticised the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) over its call for the withdrawal of a directive issued by the Acting Chief Justice on the assignment of newly filed cases and applications.
His comments come in response to a resolution passed by the GBA at its 2025 mid-year conference, which questioned the legality and clarity of the directive by the Acting Chief Justice and called for its withdrawal.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on April 29, Mr.
Adawudu described the GBA's resolution as an attempt to "micro-manage" the judiciary's leadership, warning that it sets a dangerous precedent of overreach. "This is the first time I'm hearing the GBA wants to micro-manage the head of the judiciary," he said.
