Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has vehemently denied allegations suggesting he referred to residents of Tamale as "power thieves." In a press statement issued on Monday, the Minister described the reports as "entirely false, contrived, and baseless," urging the public to disregard them.
Setting the record straight, Mr.
Jinapor explained that his comments during a recent visit to Tamale were misrepresented on social media, where clips purportedly showed him making derogatory remarks about the community.
He insisted that such claims were not only inaccurate but deliberately aimed at stirring controversy. "The audio-visual recordings will confirm that at no point during my visit did I refer to the people of Tamale as power thieves," he said.
