Energy and Green Transition Minister, John Abdulai Jinapor, says the government is working around the clock to address the ongoing power outages disrupting parts of the country.

According to him, the current challenge stems partly from the lack of excess generation capacity in the system, making it difficult to accommodate unexpected disruptions.

Speaking at the West African Gas Pipeline Committee of Ministers meeting in Accra, Mr.

Jinapor ruled out the immediate release of a formal load-shedding timetable but assured that efforts are underway to stabilise the grid. "The truth is that what we inherited we have no reserves.
