King Paluta's manager, Cofy Dela, has called out what he sees as unfair sidelining of the rapper in the race for the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). Despite the Kumasi-based rapper releasing three major hits-'Makoma', 'Aseda', and 'For the Papping (Apicki)'-within the award year, Dela is puzzled by how conversations about potential winners seem to revolve around others like Stonebwoy and King Promise."It's always between the usual names.
But why is King Paluta still seen as an underdog when he clearly had one of the best years in Ghanaian music?" Dela questioned during an interview with Graphic Showbiz on Tuesday, April 22.
According to him, King Paluta, born Thomas Adjei Wireko, deserves more than just a mention.
He believes the artiste has proven himself through unmatched consistency, back-to-back bangers, and deep connection with fans across the country. "By the records available, King Paluta deserves it more than any other artiste in the AOTY category because his presence and impact in the year under review are dominant across the board.
