The Cape Coast High Court has ruled in favour of Rev John Ntim Fordjour in a defamation lawsuit against Stephen Cobbah, alias Adepa, and Yaw Korankye, alias Ampong, awarding him GH₵700,000 in damages.
The court declared that statements published by the defendants on the Assinman Politics Gh WhatsApp platform on March 8 and 9, 2024, were defamatory.
The defendants were ordered to pay GH₵700,000 jointly and severally, along with GH₵20,000 each in legal costs.
Additionally, the court issued a perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from further publishing defamatory statements against Rev Ntim Fordjour.
