A former Minister of Energy and (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, , has cautioned the NPP over the handling of the ongoing "Thank You Tour," warning that it could spell further "doom" for the party.

In a widely circulated statement sighted by , the former legislator indicated that the move, which was intended to reignite the spirit of the party, could be counterproductive. "The ongoing Thank You Tour, envisioned as a beacon of hope and a rallying point to reignite the spirit of our faithful and supporters, is unfortunately veering off course," the statement said.

He condemned the attempt by the party to use the tour as a conduit to apportion blame for the heavy defeat suffered in the 2024 elections. "What was intended to restore our party's shine and reconnect us with the grassroots is instead unraveling into bouts of discord, blame-shifting, and internal strife," a part of his statement read.

He called on the leadership of the party to reassess their approach to remobilising grassroots supporters and patching the cracks within the party. "A carefully recalibrated approach, one that fosters genuine reconciliation, solidarity, and purposeful engagement, is urgently needed.
