A devastating fire tore through a textile shop at Lapaz Market in Accra on Sunday, April 27, leaving the shop's owner hospitalized after reportedly collapsing upon seeing her business in flames.
The fire, which started on the top floor of the building, consumed bedding materials and goods worth millions of cedis.
The owner, a woman, was immediately rushed to Lapaz Community Hospital after she fainted from the shock of witnessing her shop being destroyed.
Witnesses say she was deeply affected by the fire, which caused her to collapse.
