The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Trobu Constituency, Gloria Owusu, has raised concerns about the absence of Vice President Professor from President 's administration.
According to the MP, she has been in touch with the Vice President and knows she has recovered from her recent illness.
However, she claims that Mahama's administration has sidelined Professor Naana Jane.
In an interview on Oyerepa TV on April 25, 2025, Gloria Owusu alleged speculations suggest the president is planning to appoint a new Vice President.
