The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) has issued a disclaimer distancing itself from reports suggesting its involvement in a planned demonstration against the suspension and pending removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Torkonoo.
The demonstration, reportedly scheduled for Monday, May 5, 2025, has been linked to a group of political parties opposing the Chief Justice's removal.
In a statement dated April 26, 2025, signed by the party's General Secretary, Anthony A.
Gold Ahinful, GUM clarified that it had not been informed, engaged, or consulted regarding any such meeting or demonstration.
