There were dramatic scenes at the University for Development Studies (UDS) campus in the northern regional capital, Tamale, on Friday, April 25, 2025.
A video shared by JoyNews on X on Friday showed chaotic scenes at the university.
The chaotic scenes resulted from a clash over the appointment to the governing board of the university, which some people were not pleased with.
According to reports, the appointment of one Emmanuel Asampana, a member of the Teachers' and Educational Workers' Union (TEWU) of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the university, to its governing board was not acceptable to the displeased faction.
