Despite making notable strides in higher education, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) continues to face significant infrastructural challenges, Vice Chancellor Prof.

Johnson Nyarko Boampong has revealed. "At the moment, the University does not have enough residential facilities to accommodate all the students who apply to study in the University," Prof.

Boampong said, expressing concern that UCC's growth in academic reputation has not been matched by corresponding improvements in infrastructure.

He noted that ongoing efforts to partner with private investors to address the situation have so far been unsuccessful. "Efforts and commitment to collaborate with investors to help resolve this problem have proven futile," he lamented.
