The Judicial Service of Ghana has issued a new directive requiring all newly filed cases and applications to be brought to the attention of the Acting Chief Justice, Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, before any court assignments or hearing dates are determined.

This update was announced in a statement dated April 23, 2025, and signed by Dr Cyracus B.

Bapuuroh, the Deputy Judicial Secretary. "I have been directed by the Acting Honourable Chief Justice to inform you that all newly filed cases and applications must be brought to his attention for court assignments, empanelling of judges (where there are more than one court), and for the fixing of hearing dates. "Please take note that this directive supersedes all previous directives until further notice," the statement read.
