The Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has expressed surprise at what he describes as a shift in tone from the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) regarding the ongoing process for the removal of the Chief Justice.

Reacting to the GBA's statement issued on April 24, 2025, which urged strict adherence to constitutional procedures and the rule of law, Mr.

Ofosu Kwakye noted that the Association's position marks a noticeable departure from what he termed its "traditionally hostile stance" toward National Democratic Congress (NDC) governments.

In a brief statement shared on social media, the opposition politician stated, "This GBA statement is a marked departure from their traditionally hostile stance towards NDC governments." He added that neither the GBA nor other critics have been able to demonstrate any constitutional infraction by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo or the Council of State in their handling of the petition against the Chief Justice.
