Doctors at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) have indefinitely suspended emergency and outpatient services, citing "unwarranted attacks" by Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Tamale North MP Alhassan Suhuyini during a recent visit to the facility.
The decision was taken at an emergency general assembly meeting of the Doctors' Association of Tamale Teaching Hospital (DATTH) on Wednesday, April 23.
The suspension affects general OPD, antenatal, specialist, and paediatric services but excludes inpatient care, which will continue until current patients are discharged.
