The Tarkwa Circuit Court has sentenced 22-year-old taxi driver Godgift Acquah, also known as Kwame Atta, to 25 years of hard labor for defiling his fiancée's 14-year-old sister.

Acquah admitted guilt and pleaded for forgiveness during the trial.

Prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Joyce Odame disclosed that the victim resided with her aunt, a farmer in Prestea, while Acquah lived with the victim's elder sister in Himan, Western Region.

In November 2024, the victim's sister attended a local event, leaving Acquah alone with the victim.
