Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku has condemned the government for the decision to suspend the Chief Justice.
Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, today, April 22, 202,5 in a statement announced that the President has suspended the Chief Justice.
He indicated in the statement announcing the suspension that a committee has been set up to probe petitions brought before the president for the removal of the chief justice.
But in a social media post, Sammiu Awuku indicated that it's clearly an attempt by the government to intimidate the Judiciary in order to influence its independence.
