The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, , has advised Akonta Mining Company Limited to seek legal action in the courts if they believe the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources unfairly revoked their mining licence.
Sharing his views on the ongoing standoff between Akonta Mining and the minister, stated that the issue at hand is not insurmountable.
He noted that the company has the option to challenge the legality of the minister's revocation of their licence in court, should they believe the decision was taken unjustly. "… I have seen Akonta Mining Company's statement refuting the minister's remarks and claiming their innocence.
This is not a problem at all because in this country, if you feel wronged by what someone has done or said about you, you can take legal actions at the court.
