The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has stated that the 2024 Voters' Register is both comprehensive and trustworthy, urging the public to dismiss any contrary claims. In a statement posted on X on Wednesday, August 28, the commission underscored the integrity and reliability of the Voters Register, assuring citizens that it is fully prepared for the 2024 Elections. This response comes in light of allegations from the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which has raised concerns about alleged discrepancies in the register that they believe need to be addressed before the elections. NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has also called on the EC to ensure it performs its duties effectively. Speaking at a gathering in Adjen Kotoku within the Amasaman constituency as part of his Greater Accra regional campaign on Wednesday, Mahama emphasized the need for the EC to intervene immediately to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process. "The EC opened the register for people to go and inspect their names.
