The Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry has revealed that the previous administration under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) left behind an overwhelming GHS105 billion in financial commitments related to road and infrastructure projects.

The Chamber's Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Cherry, disclosed that the figure covers contracts awarded for roads, bridges, overheads, and other related infrastructure.

However, he noted that many of these projects remain unstarted or have yet to be completed. "As we speak now, the commitment is GHS105 billion.

These are contracts awarded for road construction, bridges, overheads and related infrastructure, but many of them have either not started or are yet to be completed," he said.
