Former Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fuseini, has taken a swipe at the New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing the ruling party of politicising the legal discourse surrounding Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

Speaking on JoyNews' Newsfile, the former legislator expressed deep concern over what he perceives as the NPP's aggressive defence of the Chief Justice amid growing debates about her position. "It is totally wrong for a political party to assume the fight to protect the Chief Justice," he asserted, cautioning that such a stance could undermine public trust in the judiciary.

According to him, the NPP's posturing is not only inappropriate but also harmful to the reputation and independence of Ghana's judicial system. "What the NPP is doing currently is implanting in the minds of people that the current Chief Justice is sympathetic to the NPP," he said.
