Drivers operating on the Mpraeso-Atibie stretch have voiced deep frustration over the government's prolonged delay in completing the road leading to the Odweanoma Paragliding site, a key attraction in the Eastern Region.
Speaking to Channel One TV during the ongoing Kwahu Easter festivities, the drivers lamented that despite several promises from successive governments, the Atibie to Odweanoma road remains in a deplorable state - a situation they say hampers both transportation and tourism in the area.
Kennedy Owusu Adei, a local driver, said the poor road network discourages tourists and leaves drivers struggling to meet demand during peak seasons. "We don't have cars to convey them to their destination.
Festivities like this, government can come and help with smooth transportation," he urged.
