Former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Owusu, has expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constitution review committee, emphasising that it will strictly follow the processes outlined in the party's constitution.

His remarks come as the committee works to address key issues and refine the party's framework. "I am very confident that whichever committee that the party put in place will be guided by the processes contained the constitution itself," Osei-Owusu said on the Channel One Newsroom on Thursday April 17.

He highlighted the importance of achieving consensus on critical matters, particularly the process of selecting leaders. "The critical issue, if you ask me, is our processes of selecting leaders.

That is what has come up through the discussion so far, and I think we must somehow get to a consensus on how we should do it," he stated.
