Jonathan Asante Otchere has suggested that public opinion, as reflected in recent polling data, could impact the ongoing process concerning the potential removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo. A Global InfoAnalytics poll conducted between April 7 and April 16, 2025, indicates that 52% of Ghanaians support the Chief Justice's removal, while 20% oppose it.
The remaining respondents were either neutral or had no opinion. In an interview with Bernard Avle on Citi FM's Eyewitness News, Dr.
Otchere stated, "Public opinions could, in one way or another, influence some legal processes; at other times, too, it may not.
